Job summary

Petredec Group in Singapore is seeking an experienced LNG chartering professional to manage chartering activities and secure optimal marine transportation solutions aligned with trading strategies.

You will analyse freight markets, identify vessels, negotiate freight rates and COAs, and collaborate with traders, scheduling and fleet management to optimize costs and value across the LNG portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years of LNG chartering or related commercial maritime experience.
• Strong understanding of LNG shipping markets, vessel operations, and contractual structures.
• Experience analysing freight markets, voyage costs and market data for decision-making.
• Proven negotiation of charter party terms and freight rates.

Responsibilities

• Monitor LNG shipping markets and develop strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
• Analyse freight markets, vessel availability, and voyage economics to identify optimal solutions.
• Identify vessels and negotiate freight rates, COAs, spot charters and time charters.
• Provide market intelligence and vessel availability assessments to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with LNG Traders, Scheduling, Operations, and Fleet Management to optimize positioning and costs.
• Maintain chartering data in systems and support process improvements.
