Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Build & Delivery Engineer (Linux) to manage end-to-end server provisioning, deployment, and onboarding across enterprise platforms in Singapore. You’ll collaborate with Network, Storage, Virtualization, Security, and Database teams to deliver resilient infrastructure within tight timelines.

• Support application teams with environment setup and prerequisites.
• Coordinate network-related activities including firewall rules and DNS setup.
• Implement infrastructure monitoring solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, TrueSight).

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Build & Delivery Engineer ( Linux ) to manage end-to-end server provisioning, infrastructure deployment, and environment onboarding activities across enterprise platforms. The role requires close collaboration with Network, Storage, Virtualization, Security (GIS), Database, and Application teams to deliver infrastructure solutions within committed timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review server build requirements and define provisioning schedules.
• Generate and manage JIRA requests, hostnames, and provisioning activities through internal portals.
• Coordinate rack allocation requests and validate server deployment prerequisites, including hostname configuration, IP allocation, switch port activation, and NetBackup (NBU) connectivity.
• Liaise with Data Center Facility Management (DCFM) teams to resolve cabling and infrastructure-related issues.
• Lead end-to-end server provisioning and infrastructure build activities throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Monitor build progress, identify dependencies, and provide technical solutions to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Network, Storage, Virtualization, Security, and Database teams to resolve deployment blockers.
• Conduct daily build status reviews and track progress through DSM calls, driving fast-track resolution of outstanding issues.
• Configure operating systems, user accounts, role-based access controls, and server hardening standards.
• Support application teams with environment setup, deployment prerequisites, and infrastructure requirements.
• Partner with GIS and application teams to remediate security vulnerabilities and ensure compliance.
• Manage GIS onboarding, handover, and transition activities within agreed delivery timelines.
• Coordinate network-related activities, including firewall rules, DNS setup, and load balancer configurations.
• Successfully hand over validated environments to application teams for deployment and testing.
• Implement infrastructure and application monitoring solutions, including BMC TrueSight, Geneos, Prometheus, Grafana, and Oracle AWR.
• Configure and validate server and database backup processes through NetBackup (NBU), including job scheduling and recovery testing.
• Ensure CMDB onboarding and maintain accurate infrastructure asset records.
• Provide post-build commissioning, warranty, and operational support activities.
