Role Overview

Reporting to the Regional Director, Line Operations APAC, you will lead and manage the CNC Liner Operations team for Intra‑Asia services, driving operational excellence, maximizing fleet performance, and ensuring cost‑efficient service delivery. You will be responsible for optimizing all aspects of vessel operation including stowage, bunkering, schedule reliability, and regulatory compliance while fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team culture that supports consistent and superior operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and develop the Operations team across Singapore and Malaysia to ensure high performance and engagement.
  • Organise, prioritise, and schedule team assignments to achieve operational goals efficiently.
  • Foster a trusting, inclusive, and productive work environment that supports collaboration and professional growth.
  • Manage overall fleet performance, ensuring service reliability and optimal voyage execution by monitoring off‑hire periods, stoppages, and delays.
  • Ensure optimal vessel stowage planning to minimise operational expenses (e.g. reducing restows and unbalanced crane intensity).
  • Monitor vessel performance and implement initiatives to improve fuel efficiency and reduce bunker consumption.
  • Oversee bunker supply strategies and collaborate with the bunker desk to enhance voyage cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders including Commercial, Cargo Flow, and Cost Control teams to optimise service profitability and cost effectiveness.
  • Liaise with Vessel Masters, Ship Managers, and Port Agents to ensure smooth port calls and cargo operations.
  • Enforce CMA CGM Group’s policies and procedures for Dangerous Goods (DG), Out of Gauge (OOG), and special cargo handling to ensure full compliance and operational safety.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised institution.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in container shipping operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing short sea or Intra‑Asia liner services.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in supervising, mentoring, and developing high‑performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, conceptual, and analytical abilities.
  • Highly proactive, meticulous, and a strong team player with a hands‑on approach.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Why Join CMA CGM?
  • Be part of a global leader in shipping and logistics with ambitious growth plans.
  • Work in a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and regional exposure.
