Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Line Leader to oversee daily production operations, ensure on-time delivery of aerospace components, and maintain strict quality/safety standards. You will lead a team of machinists/operators in a fast-paced CNC machining or assembly environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise 10-15 production operators on your shift, ensuring on-time delivery of aerospace parts.
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor workflow through CNC machining cells or assembly lines.
  • Meet hourly/daily production targets while maintaining AS9100 quality standards.
  • Conduct first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks.
  • Enforce documented work instructions and process control plans.
  • Lead root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain 5S standards and ensure 100% PPE compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for Lean Manufacturing improvements (waste reduction, cycle time optimization).
  • Report near-misses and lead safety briefings.
  • Train new hires on aerospace manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct performance feedback sessions.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High school diploma/GED required (Technical certification preferred).
  • 3+ years aerospace/manufacturing experience with 1+ years in leadership.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining or aerospace assembly processes.
  • GD&T and blueprint reading.
  • AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills using PDCA or A3 methodologies.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for full shifts.
