Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, supervise and liaise closely with operation team and sub-contractors on all lifting activities.
- Overall in-charge for preparing lifting and erection plan for all the Gantry Cranes.
- Prepare, develop and review Lifting plans, Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedure of all subcontractor for any lifting activities.
- Conduct routine checks and inspections on work site to ensure compliance with authorities and client’s requirements.
- Daily walk about around assign areas of site and make a note of compliance and non-compliance to HSE operating procedure.
- Able to prepare and review lifting plan and coordinate site lifting supervisors, riggers and signalman, and being the focal point for all site lifting operations Perform discipline checks of the procedures and analysis. Read project specifications and provide feedback from an engineering perspective. Liaise with clients, and subcontractors
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer or Recognized Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer, and at least three (3) years of experience in the construction supervision of building project.
- The Lifting Engineer shall manage all heavy lifting of construction materials, including ensuring concreting works are safely carried out In compliance with the Rapid Transit System Regulations, and no lifting works shall pose safety risks to operating railway at all times.
- Must have a Lifting Engineer certificate from The Institute of Engineers Singapore, 5-Day Course for Appointed Person - Lifting Operations
