Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the lift industry.
• Strong understanding of lift mechanical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Hands-on and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical specifications and drawings.
• Evaluate traffic analysis compliance and design feasibility.
• Identify clashes with local codes or common practices.
• Review shop drawings and mechanical calculations.
• Gatekeep installation methodology and mock-up lift checks.
• Conduct installation audit inspections.
• Participate in handover inspections and defects identification.
• Monitor reliability of ropes, guide rails, door systems.
• Identify recurring mechanical faults and propose improvements.
• Conduct supplier quality assessments and lab testing where necessary.
• Approve parts listing for mechanical components.
• Ensure documentation control for spare parts database.
• Investigate complaints such as noisy operations, vibrations, rusty ropes.
• Recommend engineering solutions to reduce recurrence.
