Job summary

Schindler Lifts Singapore is looking for a junior Installation Technician to read layouts and Builder's drawings, and to ensure lifts and escalators are installed to Schindler's quality standards and safety requirements.

You will identify lift components, plan a single shaft installation, rectify installation problems, and coordinate with Project Manager, Site Supervisor or Subcontractor on project issues and feedback.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in lifts/construction related M&E.
• Secondary School Education or Vocational Training in Engineering.
• Read and write in English; spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Read & understand Layout and Builder’s drawings.
• Ensure lifts / escalators installation meet Schindler’s quality standards.
• Ensure lifts / escalators are installed in compliance with specific industry requirements and safety standards.
• Ability to identify and understand functionality of various lift components.
• Ability to plan & coordinate a single shaft installation.
• Ability to rectify installation problems.
• Compliance with local and Schindler’s safety standards.
• Report to superior and team timely on any Installation issues and/or feedback.
• Communicate effectively with Project Manager / Project Engineer, Site Supervisor or Subcontractor on any project issues enquiries and/or feedback
