Job summary

A leading HR advisory firm in Singapore is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team. In this role, you will draft and negotiate contracts, provide legal advice across various commercial matters, and oversee external legal consultants. Candidates should hold a degree in Law and have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within the construction industry. This position requires travel as needed, and is based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in the construction industry.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and agreements.
• Advise companies on a broad range of commercial issues.
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and oversee their work.
• Assist in setting up and closing subsidiaries.

Job description

Position title : Legal Counsel

• Location: Tanjong Kling Rd
• Working Days: Monday- Friday, 5 days
• Working hours : 8am to 5:30pm
• Salary : Open to Negotiation

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other documents; and render legal advice
• Provide legal advice and support to the group of companies on a broad range of commercial issues
• Handle the setting up of subsidiaries, associates, branches and project offices as well as the closing or liquidation of such set up
• Coordinate with external legal counsels and consultants as well as oversee the progress of their work
• Coordinate with and advise business units and departments on legal matters
• Any other duties to be assigned from time to time

Prerequisites:

• Degree in Law
• 4 to 7 years’ post-qualification experience, with knowledge of construction law and/or with experience in the construction industry
• Willing to travel when required
