Job description
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in all legal, contractual, dispute resolution, compliance, corporate governance, and other matters within the Legal & Compliance Department of the Company. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Reviewing and advising on commodities trading contracts (crude oil, refined products, petrochemicals);
  • Reviewing and advising on General Terms and Conditions of the counterparties;
  • Handling shipping and chartering contracts and related matters;
  • Advising on banking facilities agreements and related corporate resolution documents;
  • Drafting, reviewing and advising on other contracts within the Company;
  • Preparing and drafting internal legal bulletins and updates;
  • Conducting legal research, preparing reports and performing legal administrative or supporting tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law from a reputable university;
  • At least 1-3 years working experience in a law firm or in-house legal team, preferably with exposure to trading, shipping and/or general litigation;
  • Strong ethical standards, with diligence in carrying out tasks assigned by the General Manager of Legal & Compliance Department;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin to coordinate and provide legal support for the work involving Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
