A prominent business group in Singapore is seeking a legal professional to oversee compliance and risk management. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, providing legal advice, and ensuring adherence to regulations. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Law and at least 3 years of experience in corporate legal roles. Strong communication and confidentiality skills are essential. This role offers a chance to work on critical legal matters in a dynamic environment.
Develop in-depth understanding regarding the compliance, legal and risk management associated with the Group’s business operation.
Draft and review the Group’s business processes and ensure compliance and all risks exposures are identified, evaluated, mitigated and updated appropriately on an ongoing basis.
Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts to ensure the organisation’s interests are protected.
Provide timely and accurate legal advice on a broad range of matters, including contracts, intellectual property, NDAs, MOUs, claims, etc., to support the Group’s operation teams.
Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environments; ensure the organisation’s policies and procedures remain up to date and compliant.
Develop and deliver training programmes to promote compliance awareness and understanding of relevant legal obligations.
Lead internal investigations into potential compliance breaches and report findings to senior management and relevant authorities as necessary.
Act as the primary point of contact for external legal counsel, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities and legal documentation.
Other administrative tasks as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or other related legal qualifications preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in contract management, commercial law, or corporate legal roles preferred.
Strong knowledge of local laws, regulations, and best practices relevant to the industry.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly ethical, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.
