Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal & Compliance Executive to join our APAC Legal & Compliance team. As a Legal & Compliance Executive, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our APAC Legal and Compliance Department. This assignment offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with our Regional Counsel, APAC & China, other counsels in the region and compliance managers, gain exposure to various legal and compliance processes, and contribute to the efficiency of our Legal and Compliance operations in the APAC region. The ideal candidate should be organized, proactive, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative assistance to the APAC Legal and Compliance team, including but not limited to, document preparation, filing, and data entry.
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing Legal and Compliance documents, contracts and other important records.
  • Support the APAC Legal and Compliance department in database clean-up initiatives, data verification and organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to re-arrange and improve the filing system for easy retrieval and storage of documents.
  • Conduct legal research under the guidance of our counsels and assist in preparing legal memos and summaries.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive of all Legal & Compliance documents and information.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travels and appointments.
  • Support the Regional Counsel, APAC & China and other counsels in other tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Manage the Legal & Compliance Department’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, Intel Agree for the APAC, China & India region.
  • Support other regions legal and compliance departments as and when required.
  • Support the Regional Counsel, APAC & China in his role as administrator for all legal entities in APAC on corporate secretarial and corporate governance matters.
Job Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Law Degree (JD) / recent diploma of law graduates / non-law graduates or diploma holders who have prior experience in legal executive or paralegal roles.
  • Preferred with at least one (1) year working experience in the related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical skills, and verbal communication skills in English/Mandarin or any other Asian languages
  • Positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • A professional demeanour and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Interest in administrative work and legal and compliance processes.
