A financial services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Legal-Compliance professional to draft legal documents and support regulatory initiatives. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial sector, with strong communication skills and attention to detail. This is a 12-month contract position.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and review legal documents/templates/T&Cs/business agreements for OTC derivatives or financial products across all asset classes (e.g. NDAs, mandate letters, ISDA, term sheets, financial terms, price supplements and ancillary docs) in accordance to internal and external guidelines
• Support the GC on litigation, arbitration or other judicial proceedings
• Support the automation of processes and regulatory documents
• Manage (regulatory) projects and initiatives
• Manage relationship with internal and external parties with regard to legal documentation, business agreements, and related processes
• Provide advice and guidance on policies, documentation, issuance and approval of structured products as well as regulatory and legal implementation issues
• Provide guidance for regulatory inquiries and queries on financial products together with all relevant stakeholders
• Primarily responsible for prospectus, marketing material, internal legal documents
• Ad hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Degree in Law (SG bar admission preferred but not mandatory) with strong interest in legal and regulatory issues
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the banking or financial sector, ideally in a legal or regulatory function
• Proven ability to handle complex matters independently
• Detailed oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Good organizational and project management skill
• Able to work under time constraints and pressure
• Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred for Chinese stakeholders
• A fast learner with agile mindset, collaborative and trustworthy team player with great working attitude

This is a 12-month contract.
