Overview

The People Lead is responsible for the design, delivery and management of the People Strategy for Alumni in alignment with business priorities and planned growth. The role acts as a strategic advisor within the leadership team and as a key culture carrier, ensuring that all Alumni staff are aligned with the values framework of the organisation: Integrity and Accountability; Collaboration; Sense of humour and perspective; Positive pragmatism.

Key responsibilities

Business Partnership and Organisational Design

  • Support growth of the organisation through long term people planning and design
  • Culture owner, protecting and integrating the Alumni culture into the employee lifecycle
  • Design and implement development and training programs
  • Develop assessment processes for talent review, succession planning, performance management, and career development
  • Manage, train and develop the People team in line with Alumni growth (one direct report)
  • Provide leadership coaching and support across all entities
  • Report to the board on people activities on a quarterly basis
  • Own culture and engagement initiatives including biannual Employee engagementPulse, Culture geo leads and Escape

HR Operations

  • Employment relations – mitigate business risks, ensure alignment with employment law and labour relations; manage underperformance and employee exit strategies
  • Total Reward – design compensation, mobility, benefits, health and wellness
  • Regulatory alignment across entities; ownership of HRS and people data management; creation and update of people policies

Talent Acquisition/Resource Management

  • Design, plan and coordinate talent acquisition programs to meet staffing needs
  • Develop sourcing strategy and recruitment tools/partnerships
  • Manage recruitment flow, identify talent gaps and build sourcing pools
  • Head-hunt in Singapore, Hong Kong, UK, Australia; global head-hunting for Associates
  • Resource management of the Associates pool; support outcome-based engagements
  • Improve and run Associate community engagement; act as the face of Alumni to Associates
  • Embed and showcase Alumni culture and values to Associates; encourage Associate sales and commercial mindset
  • Oversee employment branding and employee value proposition
  • 10+ years HR experience with strong Resourcing and Generalist background
  • Hands-on and strategic; creative solutions across the employee lifecycle; respond to people needs
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Experience in regional or global roles; apply best proactive employment legislation across geographies
  • Experience in the Consulting sector and/or startup environments preferred
Qualifications
  • 10+ years HR experience with strong background in Resourcing and Generalist roles
  • Proven ability to be both hands-on and strategic
  • Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Experience in regional/global roles and in the Consulting sector or startup environments preferred
