What the role is
The School of Business Management is seeking a Lecturer in Supply Chain & Logistics Management. This position is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive Diploma and Specialist Diploma programmes, focusing on areas such as supply chain technologies, data analytics, sustainability, freight management, and purchasing. Furthermore, the Lecturer will actively manage and coordinate learners’ activities and industry-based projects.
What you will be working on
- Plan, develop, and deliver learning units within the Supply Chain and Logistics curriculum, including conducting assessments, maintaining academic standards, and adopting innovative pedagogical methods.
- Review and update course content to maintain alignment with current supply chain industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Organise and lead company visits for the learners to acquire industry best practices.
- Plan and conduct immersive overseas learning journeys to cultivate global competencies and expose learners to international business & supply chain operations.
- Partner with industry partners to solicit feedback on learning unit content and outcomes to create a jointly developed curriculum that maximises learning.
- Cultivate partnerships with industry stakeholders to collaborate on training initiatives, curriculum development, and professional networking events that benefit learners and the institution.
- Provide guidance on academic performance, career planning, and overall well-being for the learners throughout their diploma journey.
- Perform administrative duties related to academic matters, departmental operations, and general administrative support.
- Support any section projects and ad-hoc assignments when needed.
What we are looking for
- Candidates should have at least five years of multi-faceted experience across various supply chain domains, with track record of applying technology and data analytics to drive both operational efficiency and sustainable supply chain solutions.
- Able to deliver engaging lessons in various supply chain areas such as generative AI tools in supply chain management, inventory and warehouse management, supply chain analytics, sustainability in supply chain, International freight and trade management.
- Skilful in leading and guiding learners through hands‑on activities and projects.
- Strong, established networks and relationships within the relevant industry or related sectors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all organisational levels.
- Possess sound planning, organising and multi‑tasking skills, with a strong sense of responsibility for completing assigned duties on time.
