Job summary

NTU Singapore's Language and Communication Centre within the School of Humanities invites applications for a teaching-focused academic position. Qualifications

• PhD in Applied Linguistics, English for Academic Purposes, Linguistics, Education, Literature, or Rhetoric and Composition.
• Degrees in the Sciences and Engineering will be considered if the candidate can show evidence of research in disciplinary communication skills.
• Experience in teaching academic and/or discipline-specific writing.
• Interest in new media and digital literacy is a plus.
• An active research agenda.

Responsibilities

• Faculty are expected to teach 12 hours per week.
• Contribute to the running of LCC by coordinating courses, designing curriculum, and serving on committees.
• Actively research in fields related to pedagogy, education, writing studies, literature, or linguistics.
• Enhance teaching practices through research, peer observation, technological innovation, and professional development.
