Job summary

Public Service Division invites applications for an 11-month contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Design & Environment. The role focuses on developing and delivering modules for both full-time and part-time learners, with classroom and online teaching, assessments, and curriculum innovations.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant product design or innovation experience, and teaching qualifications (ACTA/ACLP) are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in the field of Product Design or Innovation.
• Prior teaching or training experience with pedagogical qualifications such as ACTA or ACLP will be an advantage
• A portfolio of past work for review

Responsibilities

• Academic duties: Develop and improve the content of modules you are assigned to teach and deliver for full-time and part-time learners; be competent to conduct teaching and delivery of modules in classroom and online setting; set and conduct assessments for the modules you are assigned; lead in the integration of modules content, teaching and delivery to achieve the course objectives; initiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery.
• Non- Academic duties: To manage projects in School of Design & Environment’s ETC lab; To prepare project proposals for internal and external clients; To liaise with project stakeholders; To do design-related work; To do 3D printing and prototyping [optional]
