Job summary

School of Engineering is seeking a Lecturer in Built Environment Technology to design and deliver industry-relevant curricula across architectural technology, building services, sustainability and digital delivery. Qualifications

• Relevant degree in architecture, architectural technology, building services engineering or related Built Environment discipline.
• Experience in consultancy, project delivery, facilities management, sustainability, or digital construction.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver industry-relevant curriculum for degree and continuing education programmes across built environment topics.
• Develop authentic learning through case studies, labs, projects and simulations.
• Mentor and guide students in internships, projects, competitions and career development.
• Supervise student projects and work-based learning, promoting safety and professional ethics.
• Engage industry and public-sector stakeholders to support curriculum enhancement and workplace learning.
• Contribute to curriculum review with industry trends and learner feedback.
• Apply BIM, IDD and digital delivery techniques in teaching and projects.
• Maintain currency in built environment practices and translate to teaching.
• Support school initiatives including outreach, recruitment, and multidisciplinary projects.
