Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Lecturer who goes beyond teaching to nurture lifelong learners. You will recognise student potential, guide learning, and contribute to industry-facing projects to keep practice current.

Responsibilities include teaching in multiple accounting areas, conducting industry or consultancy projects, and maintaining strong links with industry and schools through attachments and collaborations.

Qualifications

• You should have relevant work experience in Accountancy or equivalent.
• You should be able to teach in at least 3 or more of the following areas: Accounting, Costing, Auditing, Taxation, Accounting Software (e.g. ABSS/MYOB, ACCPAC/SAGE 300, XERO).
• Knowledge in Business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) and innovative technologies (e.g. Digitalisation, RPA, Gen AI, Blockchain, Fintech) is advantageous.
• You would be expected to contribute towards industry projects and student development activities as well.

As a Lecturer, your contributions go beyond teaching and facilitating learning. You will play a critical role in recognising and nurturing your students’ potential and their lifelong learning needs.

[What you will be working on]

In addition to your teaching duties, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to help you remain relevant in your profession and to evolving changes inindustry, andmaintain strong linkages with industry and schools. You will alsohave the opportunity tohave industry attachments or experience on a regular basis to update your skills,knowledgeand practices of your profession.

[What we are looking for]

You should have relevant work experience in Accountancy or equivalent.

• Taxation
• Accounting Software (e.g. ABSS/MYOB, ACCPAC/SAGE 300, XERO)
