The Leasing Manager leads the mall’s leasing function and a team of leasing executives to achieve occupancy and revenue targets. This role oversees the full leasing cycle—from strategy development and tenant acquisition to lease execution—while ensuring a strong tenant mix and positive mall positioning. The Leasing Manager collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and maintains strong relationships with tenants, agents, and retail partners.
Job Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of leasing executives.
- Set clear performance objectives and KPIs for the leasing team.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to enhance team effectiveness and professional growth.
- Review team performance, conduct evaluations, and implement improvement plans where necessary.
- Coordinate team workload to ensure timely completion of leasing activities and reporting.
Leasing & Tenant Acquisition
- Develop and implement leasing strategies to maximize occupancy and rental income.
- Identify, source, and secure suitable tenants that align with the mall’s positioning and target audience.
- Conduct or oversee property tours, presentations, and proposal development for prospective tenants.
- Negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and documentation in line with company guidelines.
- Monitor market trends, competitor analysis, and tenant movements to adjust strategy when needed.
Tenant Management & Relationship Building
- Maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing tenants, brokers, and key stakeholders.
- Manage renewals, relocations, expansions, and terminations to optimize tenant mix.
- Support tenants throughout the leasing cycle, ensuring a smooth onboarding and fit‑out process.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing to support tenant acquisition campaigns and mall promotions.
- Coordinate with operations, design, and property management teams to support tenant handovers and fit‑outs.
- Provide input on tenant mix planning, zoning, and mall layout enhancements.
- Provide management with regular updates on leasing progress and market analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in retail or commercial leasing, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Creative, resourceful, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of retail market dynamics, leasing strategies, and tenant categories.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret leasing and market data.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Network of contacts in the F&B and retail industry.
