Job description
Overview

Learning Support Educator

As a Learning Support Educator, you will be working with children requiring early intervention. You will

  • Conduct assessment using the standardised screening tools

  • Write reports and case notes (including Individual Educational Plan, session summary, end-of-intervention report)

  • Deliver intervention for children in the areas of language, literacy, fine motor and social skills

  • Conduct in-class support and demonstrate skills to early childhood educators

  • Conduct internal training for early childhood educators/parents

  • Work with parents and teachers with the common goal of supporting child’s learning and development

  • Periodically administer screening and evaluate children’s learning with standardised early development tools

  • Maintain ongoing network of resources and working relationships with agencies, hospitals and therapy centres

Qualifications
  • Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS)

  • Minimum relevant diploma in ECE

  • 2 to 3 years of working experience in the early childhood sector

  • Possess relevant working experience in early intervention setting is a plus

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Committed to children’s learning, development and well-being

  • Candidates who are able to commence soon is a plus
