Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore seeks a Training and Development Specialist to assess training needs, design competency frameworks, and improve training initiatives. Ideal candidates should have a diploma or degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Strong digital literacy, project management, and staff development skills are preferred. This role offers a 5-day work week with competitive transportation benefits.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Management to assess the organisation's training and development needs
• Design and develop the organisation’s competency framework
• Identify and develop suitable technologies and methodologies to enhance training, coaching and assessment programmes
• Evaluate effectiveness of training, coaching and assessment programmes
• Create training content that relate directly to the learning objectives
• Coordinate the piloting of new training initiatives with relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate competency assessments contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and activities
• Conduct relevant value-added training programmes when required.
• Develop and implement on-the-job training initiatives
• Facilitate recruitment for integral roles within organisation to ensure smooth talent pipeline and succession planning
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in the learning and development field
• Any other L&D duties as assigned by the Manager

Requirements

• A Diploma or Degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas, Engineering industry is preferred
• Candidates who possess ACTA certification will be at an advantage
• Excellent staff, trainer & assessor development management skills
