Position Description
The Lean Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence by implementing Lean principles, methodologies, and practices across the organization. This role ensures continuous improvement, efficiency gains, and waste reduction, while fostering a culture of problem-solving and innovation. The Lean Executive will work closely with leadership and employees at all levels to achieve business performance goals.
Part A - Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The Job:
- Ensure proper implementation of Lean/Continuous Improvement tools & Lean projects across various departments in support of the organization’s goals
- Promote, educate, and train employees on Lean/Continuous Improvement concepts, tools, and initiatives
- Expand and sustain Lean deployment efforts through facilitating Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement events & provide hands-on support to assist initiatives
- Suggest improvements on existing practices and business processes. Introduce/implement new standards, techniques, practices, and procedures to streamline processes
- Lead number of Continuous Improvement initiatives & manage efficiently the sharing of best practices among departments
- Identify, deploy, and drive the successful completion of Lean projects/initiatives, which ultimately translate to Operational and Financial results, as well as Customer Satisfaction.
Part B - Required Experience, Competencies & Qualifications
- Diploma in Engineering or other related fields
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in driving productivity improvement programs
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic and dynamic environment
- Pro-active, resourceful, self-motivated, result-oriented, independent, with good initiatives
- Excellent project management skills with good time management
- Dedicated to strong teamwork with the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas.
- Hands-on experience in managing cross-functional Lean projects or changes throughout all levels of businesses.
- Prior experience in Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, JIRA, Power BI, VBA, and Macros is preferred
