Job summary

ST Engineering's Advanced Networks & Sensors unit seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead architecture, integration, and delivery of laser and electro‑optical systems. You will guide system‑level decisions and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams from concept through deployment.

You will translate requirements into specifications, define performance targets, design for electrical, thermal, and safety considerations, and document coverage with traceability and test data.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering of advanced laser or electro‑optics systems.
• Solid understanding of optics, lasers, and electro‑optical systems to lead integration and design decisions.
• Familiarity with systems engineering practices including requirements traceability, interface definition, and verification planning.
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering domains.

Responsibilities

• Translate operational requirements into technical specifications and lead the systems engineering process from concept to deployment.
• Define system architecture, functional requirements, and performance specifications for advanced laser and electro‑optics systems.
• Lead multidisciplinary development activities and ensure technical alignment across subsystems.
• Lead prototyping, testing, and integration of electronics, mechanical, optical and software subsystems into a coherent system.
• Conduct and oversee system‑level testing, validation, and field deployment to ensure requirements are met.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including design records, test reports, and validation data.
