Job summary

A construction company in Singapore seeks a Safety Coordinator to oversee workplace safety and health compliance on construction sites. The role involves liaising with project managers, leading safety teams, conducting risk assessments, and organizing safety training. The ideal candidate should hold an ITE/Diploma in Engineering, possess at least 2 years of experience in safety coordination, and have an Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health. A Class 2B/3 driving license with own vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a safety coordinator in construction or solar energy.
• Must possess a Class 2B/3 driving license with own vehicle.
• Familiar with local safety regulations and environmental laws.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Liaise closely with Project Managers on workplace safety, health and environmental issues to maintain a high level of safety at the sites.
• Oversee and lead the Safety team & subcontractors in the implementation of Company’s safety systems at sites.
• Monitor safety and health aspect of all projects and workers safe work practices.
• Carry out and review risk assessment and Safe Work Procedure for all projects and maintain high level of safety and housekeeping at site.
• Carry out safety orientations and to conduct daily tool box meeting.
• Plan, Administer and implement safety policy and safety procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.
• Discharge duties as relevant in the WSH Act, WSH (Workplace Safety and Health (Officers) Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act.
• Implement and maintain proper procedures of WSHE management, administrative and recording system.
• Conduct team/ individual WSHE inspections and produce relevant reports and follow-ups.
• Organize / conduct WSHE briefing/ training to all employees.
• Other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• ITE/Diploma Holder in Engineering.
• Min 2 years' experience as safety coordinator in construction site/solar energy.
• Posseses Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
• Familiar with Workplace Safety Regulations and Environmental Public Health Act.
• Class 2B/3 driving license with own vehicle
