Job summary

JPMorganChase in Singapore seeks a Lead Software Engineer in the Global Equity Derivatives Technology team to partner with trading, structuring, sales, and quant colleagues to deliver core engines, services, APIs, and visualization components.

You will focus on application development for structuring business needs, from structured product payoffs to market intelligence, contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your work drives business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related disciplines.
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Python programming language.
• Experience dealing with growing data ingestion, data management and data analytics.
• Disciplined approach to code management, testing and deployment practices.
• Self-starter with the ability to quickly pick up new ideas, concepts and technologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning etc.)

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Deals with ambiguity, translates ideas into full-fledged software products using usable technologies
• Drives tasks to completion and takes full ownership of projects
• Leads sessions with external data vendors and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architecture and applicability
• Effectively communicates and manages stakeholders expectations
• Contributes to engineering communities of practice and events exploring new technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
