Overview

Our client is transforming the cleaning industry with advanced robotic solutions that tackle manpower challenges. Their innovative robots are already making a difference in 30 countries! As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety compliance through regular audits and training
• Lead and motivate a team of assemblers, including conducting training and coaching to improve team performance
• Own and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Safety, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Continuous Improvement
• Write and implement SOPs and Self-Inspection procedures
• Identify process improvements, reduce waste, and prevent human error through structured improvement initiatives
• Analyse problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions promptly
• Prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines
• Lead staff training and maintain a positive, disciplined work environment
• Maintain and track training and rework records, including quality issues
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
• Uphold high standards of discipline and housekeeping on the production floor

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
• Strong background in engineering with a proactive approach to process improvement
• Six Sigma Green Belt or above is preferred
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Familiarity with ERP and MES systems, as well as root cause analysis tools
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (must be able to liaise with Chinese counterparts)
• Highly motivated, able to work both independently and in a team.
