Job description
What the role is:

The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) which aims to pioneer innovation solutions and develop world class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore. The jobholder will provide operational planning and support to HTX Chief Information Officer (CIO) in driving ICT&SS strategy, governance, and portfolio management within HTX.

What you will be working on:
  1. CIO Office Strategy and Planning
    • Support the development of HTX's ICT&SS strategy, planning and operations.
    • Assist in coordinating IDSC Forum initiatives and stakeholder engagements.
  2. CIO Office Operations
    • Contribute to the operations of HTX’s CIO Office and support the governance framework.
    • Promote compliance to IM8 and MHA policies, standards and guidelines.
What we are looking for:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in IT strategy, planning, operations, or project coordination.
  • Prior experience supporting senior management or working in a CIO/IT governance function is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in data analysis and performance reporting.
  • Good understanding of ICT portfolio management, compliance standards (e.g. IM8), and public sector IT frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with government digital platforms and reporting systems is an advantage.

All new hires are appointed on a two‑year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
