Qualifications

• Knowledge of security monitoring tools such as SIEM and cloud security is advantageous.
• Crisis leadership, project management or system management skills are desirable.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to multi-task across multiple systems/projects.

Responsibilities

Operations (Ops) Systems Sustainment Centre (SC) supports Singapore’s safety and security by supporting the Home Team through: Enabling business-as-usual (BAU) for the Home Team, Ensuring system longevity, enhancing availability and reliability, Rapid response (being everywhere at any time), Creating value through robust governance in maintaining adherence to compliance and standards.

You play an important role in the implementation and maintenance of Systems for one of the Home Team Department (e.g. Singapore Police Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Prison Service, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, etc.), ensuring their operational readiness at all times.

What You Will Be Working On

• Manage and monitor the existing Systems/projects to ensure their operation availability and serviceability.
• Manage vendors to ensure they meet contractual and Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance, and to take appropriate corrective actions.
• Refresh the hardware and software of existing Systems (as projects).
• Identify, evaluate and recommend technical solutions that are cost effective and meet requirements, for the above.
• Procure the identified solutions by putting up budget papers and technical specifications.
• Plan and manage the progress and budget of projects and resolve arising issues so as to ensure the timely completion of the projects as scheduled.
• Remediate cybersecurity audit findings of Systems and ensure they are compliance to government policies.
• Manage and implement ICT security measures as prescribed under government policies.
• Implement and maintain ICT security and monitoring tools as required.

What We Are Looking For

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or its equivalent. Knowledge of Cybersecurity, Security by Design or its equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Three (3) years or more of relevant work experience, preferably in ICT Operational Systems. Experience in Security Information and Event Management, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing and cloud security will be an added advantage.
• Preferably have knowledge of command & control system, video management system, and/or IT application systems.
• Preferably possess crisis leadership, project management and/or system management skills.
• Possess strong analytical and trouble-shooting abilities.
• Ability to multi-task and manage various Systems/projects simultaneously.
• Possess good written, presentation and communication skills.
  All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
