Job summary

Unison Group is seeking a Lead Solution Architect – Data Engineering to own architecture on Databricks engagements across APAC. You will lead design decisions, migrations, and cloud transformations while mentoring engineers and shaping reusable assets.

This hands-on leadership role requires 12+ years in data engineering/architecture, 3+ years on Databricks, and strong Python/SQL/Scala skills, with a focus on Lakehouse best practices and governance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data engineering/architecture
• 3+ years on Databricks at enterprise scale
• Strong Python/SQL/Scala
• Experience leading architecture in presales
• Migration and cloud transformation experience
• Ability to communicate with CTOs and engineers

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and design decisions on Databricks engagements.
• Lead production-grade data platforms: ingestion, transformation, governance, BI/ML enablement.
• Lead large-scale migrations and cloud transformation programs to Databricks across clouds.
• Hands-on leadership: performance tuning, code/design reviews, and engineering standards.
• Presales: solution design, estimation, PoCs, and proposals; defend designs to boards.
