Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Singapore to push the limits of high‑performance trading technology. You will drive design and implementation of a market‑making and volatility execution platform, delivering low‑latency, secure and scalable production systems.

You will work with quantitative researchers and traders, optimize critical C++ components, and lead engineering practices including AI‑assisted tool adoption and robust testing to ensure operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience in building trading systems.
• Expert proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20) in production systems.
• Strong skills in memory management, data structures and Linux programming.
• Experience with TCP/UDP sockets and real-time messaging architectures.
• Ability to design and troubleshoot distributed, high-availability systems.
• Hands-on experience in SDLC, testing, deployment and ops.
• Experience with CI/CD, agile practices, resiliency and security.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and safe adoption practices.
• Knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an Option Market Making and Volatility execution platform across the trading stack.
• Develop high-performance C++ components with low-latency focus.
• Build low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time market data and orders.
• Implement trading controls and risk management safeguards.
• Write robust, well-tested production code and improve code quality across the team.
• Collaborate with researchers and traders to translate strategies into production systems.
• Drive architecture decisions for performance, resiliency and scalability.
• Promote secure coding, automated testing and code review standards.
