The Role

As the Lead Broker, you will oversee a high-impact broker enablement function that underpins client delivery, operational excellence, and portfolio performance. This role blends hands‑on broking expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring your team operates with accuracy, speed, and accountability. You will provide strategic and operational direction while partnering closely with brokers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders to support complex reinsurance and P&C engagements.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and mentoring a team of enablement executives, providing coaching, development, and performance oversight.
  • Driving broker operations across documentation, renewals, endorsements, and portfolio management with precision and efficiency.
  • Partnering with brokers, underwriters, and cross‑functional teams to coordinate complex treaty or P&C cases and ensure seamless delivery.
  • Building and refining operational frameworks that standardize processes and elevate overall service quality.
  • Managing high‑value documentation workflows, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution across all broking activities.
  • Implementing process improvements, identifying gaps, and elevating team productivity through smarter workflows and automation.
  • Overseeing onboarding for new brokers and team members, including training materials, templates, and operational guides.
  • Leveraging data, technology, and productivity tools to enhance reporting, decision‑making, and operational visibility.
  • Ensuring strong collaboration with technical, administrative, and operations teams to maintain alignment and service excellence.
Ideal Profile
  • You have at least 6 years of experience within reinsurance, treaty, or P&C broking operations, ideally gained at an international broker.
  • You bring a strong background in complex broking workflows, portfolio structures, and client servicing standards.
  • You have proven leadership experience and enjoy mentoring, guiding, and holding teams accountable to high performance.
  • You are hands‑on and comfortable balancing operational detail with strategic oversight.
  • You are structured, detail‑oriented, and meticulous about documentation, compliance, and renewal accuracy.
  • You are an effective communicator who collaborates confidently with brokers, clients, underwriters, and internal partners.
  • You have solid analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and collaboration tools, plus exposure to AI or Copilot tools.
  • You are improvement‑driven, curious, and constantly looking for smarter ways to enhance processes and team output.
  • You remain calm under pressure and lead by example, maintaining delivery quality even in fast‑moving environments.
