The Vice President, Brand & Marketing Communications, is responsible for supporting strategic, operational, and transformation agenda of the Bank, Corporate Office and Marketing Communications Department.
The candidate will play a key role in driving brand strategy, integrated marketing campaigns, sponsorships, martech projects, and budget governance, while shaping a high-performing, client-centric marketing organisation aligned with Maybank’s brand promise of Humanising Financial Services.
This role requires a balance of strategic foresight and execution excellence, combining brand storytelling, performance marketing, project governance, and data-driven insights to build equity, strengthen customer engagement, and enable sustainable business growth.
A. Strategic Planning
- Be a driving force for the operationalizing of strategic planning and strategic projects.
- Drive annual marketing strategy, brand roadmap, and forward campaign planning.
- Align marketing priorities with business goals, client insights, and regulatory expectations.
- Oversee marketing budget planning, tracking, and spend efficiency.
- Explore digital innovations to capitalize on platform algorithms and cohort marketing strategies.
B. Brand & Campaign Management
- Lead end-to-end execution of Singapore wealth and digital campaigns and partnerships.
- Enable business strategy and work closely with Group Wealth Management squad in integrated marketing initiatives across ATL, digital, social, and experiential platforms.
- Guide agency partners and internal teams to deliver creative excellence.
- Ensure consistent tone of voice and brand governance.
C. Marketing Operations, Martech & Data Enablement
- Lead martech and marketing automation projects that enhance targeting, personalisation, and measurement.
- Partner with Digital Banking, IT, and Data teams to integrate platforms and enable campaign analytics.
- Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms for campaign performance and budget visibility.
- Build future proofing capabilities such as generative AI optimization and AI injection through Martech.
- Institutionalise agile ways of working (sprints, retrospectives, stand-ups).
D. Team & Organisational Development
- Drive organisational transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and innovation.
- Champion Maybank’s core values.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and empowerment.
E. Stakeholder & Partnership Management
- Build strong relationships with business heads, compliance, finance, and regional marketing counterparts.
- Manage agency and vendor partnerships for creative, media, and research functions.
- Serve as liaison for sponsorship partners and regulatory communications as needed.
Job Requirements
- Proven leadership in managing campaigns, multi-channel communication strategies, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated success in marketing project management, budget ownership, and process optimisation.
- Strong background in data-driven marketing, project enablement, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience in financial institutions and digital ventures is highly valued.
- Prior experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams in a fast-paced, matrix environment is essential.
