Job description

Get to Know the Team

Our team develops production-grade robotics and autonomy capabilities for the uniquely urban environments of Southeast Asia. We are advancing perception, planning, and control step by step, with safety evidence as the gate for every milestone. We focus on building system capabilities, scaling with uncompromised quality, and collaborating with industry leaders while investing in in-house expertise where it differentiates us.

Get to Know the Role

As a Lead Autonomous Vehicle Engineer (Sensor Calibration & Tooling), you are the foundation of our robotic platform's perception and localization systems. Your mission is to lead the end-to-end processes that ensure every sensor sees the world with geometric precision and temporal alignment. You will build the automated systems and tools that allow us to monitor a fleet of complex robots at scale, directly allowing the success of our downstream algorithms.

You will report to a Head of Engineering, work onsite in Grab One North, Singapore office, and contribute directly to both technical and strategic leadership.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Oversee, operate, and improve the end-to-end calibration pipelines for our multi-sensor suite (camera, LiDAR, radar, IMU), from initial bring-up to fleet-wide maintenance.
  • Lead the development of automated tooling to detect and correct for sensor drift in the field, ensuring system integrity and reliability over time.
  • Architect and build the diagnostic and visualisation tools that empower perception and localization engineers to debug complex geometric and temporal issues.
  • Integrate calibration and configuration management workflows into our core CI/CD and on-platform testing processes.
  • Define and monitor quality metrics and readiness gates for safe rollouts, partnering with Perception and Localization teams to ensure data integrity.
