Job summary

Singtel is seeking a Lead AI Solution Architect to define end-to-end architectures for AI initiatives and to lead multidisciplinary squads spanning AI, software, front-end, and data engineers. You will ensure scalable, secure AI solutions and drive adoption of reusable patterns across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering/Data/AI/ML required.
• 5–10 years in solution architecture or technical leadership with a focus on AI platform integration.
• Experience designing and approving end-to-end AI workflows including data pipelines, model orchestration and APIs across hybrid clouds.
• Proven experience leading software and AI delivery teams.
• Strong background in cloud-native architectures, API ecosystems and MLOps.

As a Lead AI Solution Architect, you will be the technical leader for one or more AI Value Pools, responsible for defining the end-to-end solution architecture and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise AI initiatives. You will lead a multidisciplinary squad comprising AI Engineers, Software Engineers, Front-end Engineers, Data/Knowledge Engineer translating business strategies into scalable, secure and reusable AI solutions.

Beyond solution delivery, you will establish technical direction across multiple initiatives, govern architectural quality, mentor Solution Architects and drive the adoption of reusable design patterns and engineering best practices across the organisation.

You will serve as the primary technical bridge between business stakeholders, AI Platform Architects and engineering teams, ensuring AI solutions deliver measurable business value while aligning with enterprise architecture, approved AI platforms and technical frameworks including Central AI Kitchen (CAK), governance standards, and proactively managing architectural deviations and technical debt.

How You will Make An Impact:

• Align Value Pool and project-level AI solutions with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, governance standards and approved platform capabilities, while enabling the responsible adoption of emerging AI technologies.
• Design and coordinate end-to-end integration across data sources, enterprise platforms, legacy systems and business applications to ensure AI solutions are scalable, interoperable and implementable within the existing technology environment.
• Apply and promote production-grade architecture practices across assigned projects, ensuring solutions are designed for scalability, reliability, observability, maintainability and operational readiness from prototype through deployment and Day 2 support.
• Lead technical alignment across business stakeholders, Product Owners, AI engineers, software developers, data teams, platform teams, IT and network domains, translating business requirements into clear and actionable solution designs.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and architectural approaches for relevant Value Pool use cases, balancing innovation, delivery speed, solution complexity, platform fit and long-term operational sustainability.

Skills for Success:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, AI/ML, or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in solution architecture or technical leadership roles, with a strong focus on AI platform integration and API-driven systems
• Proven expertise in designing, reviewing and approving end-to-end AI workflows, including data pipelines, model orchestration, and serving APIs across hybrid cloud environments
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing development teams focused on software engineering and AI solution delivery.
• Strong background in designing AI/ML systems, cloud-native architectures, and API ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based AI services such as Microsoft Azure ML, AI Foundry, AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, including model deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
• Experience with tools and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, GraphRAG, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), MLflow, Kubeflow, and related AI/ML orchestration technologies.
• Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of software architecture, development frameworks, and best practices.
• Proficient in API architecture and integration standards (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), with experience enabling secure and scalable interfaces between AI models and enterprise systems
• Strong understanding of containerization, virtual machines, microservices, and MLOps tools (e.g. MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, CI/CD pipelines)
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate and integrate new AI technologies, frameworks, and vendor solutions into enterprise environments
• Communicates complex AI concepts clearly and confidently to diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams.
• Effectively manages stakeholders across business, IT, and network domains to gain alignment and drive successful adoption of AI solutions.
• Collaborates seamlessly across cross-functional teams, bridging technical and non-technical groups to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
• Adapts quickly to evolving technologies and shifting business priorities, maintaining focus on long-term enterprise value.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the telco domain, IT systems, and data-driven use cases, with strong technical acumen and a keen interest in emerging AI & data technologies.
