Job summary

STAR MANPOWER SUPPLY in Singapore is seeking a physically demanding container handler to support berthing, loading, and container handling operations. The role requires standing for long hours and working at height, with a 12-hour rotating shift and 2-hour meal breaks.

You will prepare equipment, assist in berthing, water bunkering, and lash/unlash containers, ensuring safe, compliant operations in line with WSHE regulations.

Job description

Salary and Benefits:

• Monthly salary range: $3,500 to $3,900 per month




• Quarterly bonus

Working Days and Hours:

• Minimum 22 days, maximum 25 days per month




• 12-hour rotating shift (730-730)




• Including 2-hour meal breaks

Job Scope:

• Prepare in advance the necessary equipment such as twist locks, lashing gears, etc.




• Assist in berthing or unberthing operations




• Assist in water bunkering operations




• Flapping or unflapping of containers




• Lashing or unlashing of containers




• Fixing or unfixing of spreader, over height and un-containerized cargo gears

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for positioning and securing of containers on board




• Ensure smooth operations and safety compliance




• Take safety precautions to avoid accident possibilities




• Comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations

Requirements:

• Minimum PSLE English Grade C or WPLN Level 4




• Nature of job: Physically demanding, standing work for long hours




• Able to work at height




• No medical records (High blood pressure or diabetes)
