Job summary

HIROSE (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. is seeking a survey professional to perform surveying, setting-out and as-built work for permanent structural steel and ERSS projects.

The role requires establishing control points, benchmarks and gridlines and verifying alignment, elevation and plumbness on site. You will use Total Station, Auto Level and AutoCAD to check and record measurements, report deviations to the Project Manager, and coordinate with engineers, site supervisors and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant surveying experience in construction or civil projects.
• Experience with permanent structural steel and/or ERSS works preferred.

Job Description:

• Carry out surveying, setting-out and as-built survey works for permanent structural steel and ERSS projects.
• Establish, transfer and verify survey control points, benchmarks, gridlines, coordinates and reference level sat project sites.
• Perform setting-out and verification for permanent structural steel works, including anchor bolts, base plates,steel columns, beams, trusses and other steel components.
• Perform setting-out and survey checks for ERSS works, including sheet piles, soldier piles, king posts,struts, walers and other temporary support structures.
• Verify the position, alignment,elevation, verticality and plumbness of installed structural steel and ERSScomponents.
• Check foundations, concrete pedestals, embedded plates and anchor bolts before the commencement of structural steel installation.
• Carry out excavation level checksand take survey readings for settlement, displacement or structural movement monitoring when required.
• Record and promptly report anysurvey deviation, movement or out-of-tolerance work to the Project Manager and Engineer for review and further action.
• Conduct progressive and finalas-built surveys for completed structural steel and ERSS works.
• Review approved construction,structural, shop, erection and ERSS drawings before carrying out survey works.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors, main contractors, consultants, steel erection teams and subcontractors on surveying requirements and work schedules.
• Attend joint surveys and inspections with the main contractor, consultant or other relevant parties when required.
• Prepare survey calculations, fieldrecords, sketches, reports and as-built survey information.
• Maintain complete and accurate survey records for project documentation, inspection, submission and handoverpurposes.
• Ensure surveying instruments and equipment are properly calibrated, maintained and stored.
• Comply with workplace safety requirements, project procedures and the company’s quality standards.
• Perform any other survey-related duties assigned by the management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, CivilEngineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant surveying experience inconstruction or civil engineering projects.
• Experience in permanent structural steel and/or ERSS worksis preferred.
• Proficient in operating surveying equipment, including TotalStation and Auto Level.
• Able to interpret structural, civil, shop, erection and ERSSdrawings.
• Familiar with survey control, setting-out, levelling,alignment, verticality and as-built survey procedures.
• Knowledge of structural steel erection tolerances and ERSSsurvey monitoring would be an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant surveying software.
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively withproject and site teams.
• Willing to work outdoors and travel between differentproject sites.
