Job summary

A leading private healthcare provider in Singapore is seeking a Registered Nurse to enhance breastfeeding practices. The ideal candidate will conduct classes for nurses and assist in evaluating competencies. Applicants should have a Diploma in Nursing, at least 2 years of experience, and a valid IBCLC certificate. This full-time position includes shift work from Monday to Saturday.

Job description

Key Accountabilities

• Demonstrate competency in core and specialty skills.
• Maintain current trends in nursing practice through formal education and self-development.
• Assist the Nurse Manager/Nurse Clinician/Assistant Nurse Clinician/Clinical Educator in implementation, assessment and evaluation of nurses’ competencies in relation to breastfeeding.
• Conduct breastfeeding classes for nurses to enhance their knowledge and skills in assisting mothers with breastfeeding.
• Provide quality and appropriate parentcraft services including documentation, and make appropriate changes in care delivery.
• Maintain record, statistics, and schedule for lactation service.
• Review and develop hospital policies/programmes/ initiatives relating to breastfeeding.
• Participate in internal and external events presentation to promote the organisation’s maternity services.
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Nursing recognised by Singapore Nursing Board, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar job position and department.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board and has a valid IBCLC Certificate.
• 5-day work week from Mon-Sat, AM and afternoon shifts required.
