About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, nurturing and knowledgeable Lactation Consultant to join our dynamic team. You will be a vital member of Flegen (previously known as Hegen Lactation Centre) to empower mothers in their breastfeeding journey by providing end‑to‑end support, resources and guidance. In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design unique customer journeys and cultivate a safe space for parents through dedicated service and trusted relationships. Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and deliver lactation courses to expecting and breastfeeding clients
• Review, update and evaluate suitable educational materials to facilitate better content delivery
• Provide in‑house consultation services to breastfeeding clients
• Conduct house visits for the provision of services when required
• Attend to clients with breastfeeding queries on social media platforms, walk‑in consultations and other channels
• Assist the Marketing and Community team in providing relevant expert tips and responses on social media and e‑commerce platforms
• Assist the Commercial team in selecting and promoting appropriate breastfeeding related supplies for retail sale and rental
• Participate in ideation sessions on new services, products or solutions to help breastfeeding mothers
• Create an environment that promotes learning for internal staff, partners and clients
• Promote breastfeeding and assist mothers in reaching their own breastfeeding goals

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Nursing, Midwifery or related healthcare discipline.
• Certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or Certified as a Lactation Counselor.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• At least 5 years of clinical experience in maternity, neonatal, women’s health, or breastfeeding support roles.
• Strong understanding of newborn health, maternal anatomy and physiology, and breastfeeding best practices.
• Passion for empowering mothers and promoting positive breastfeeding experiences.
• Excellent communication, instructional, and empathetic caregiving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Hands‑on, adaptable, and a strong team player, able to thrive in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
• Experience counseling diverse families with varying cultural backgrounds.
• Familiarity with digital tools for tele‑lactation consultations
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, and problem‑solving abilities
• At least 5 years of clinical experience, specifically in the field of lactation
• Ability to develop relevant content for workshops and classes on lactation
• Experience and confident in delivering consultations one‑on‑one and in a large group
• Flexibility to support weekend or on‑call rotation when required.
