POSITION SUMMARY
All work-related to cord tissue unit i.e. receiving, unit verification, labelling, processing, testing, sent out to test lab, shifting, storing, archiving, retrieval apart documentation related to receiving of test reports, filing etc. and to maintain the quality of the product throughout processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Perform all functions as described in the CSG Laboratory Technologist job description.
- Cord tissue receiving, processing and storing.
- Reading and understanding SOPs
- To monitor and document the temperature of an equipment.
- Perform equipment usage log on daily basis.
- Testing – All cord tissue related testing.
- Quality control for BD FACS Canto, Trypan Blue, pH meter, inhouse complete media.
- Documentation for receiving register, storage register, master record log, sterility register etc.
- Maintaining quality, to prevent from contamination, to maintain integrity of the cord tissue unit throughout processing till storing in LN2 tank.
- Receiving of reports from testing vendor, review and filing in client’s unit chart file.
- Shifting of final product from quarantine tank to permanent tank.
- Maintains laboratory equipment performance by making quality criteria.
- Maintains laboratory supplies inventory by holding back stock to set inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Maintain smooth laboratory workflow.
- Perform laboratory administrative duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree/PHD in biomedical engineering/biomedical science/Biological Sciences.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2-3 years related experience in laboratory testing work/ cell culture work
- Strong knowledge in excel sheet formulas (computer skills)
- Strong team player, adaptable and flexible to changes
- Proactive, independent, responsible, creative and self-motivated
