Job summary

An international educational institution in Singapore is looking for a dedicated laboratory manager to prepare and manage materials for high school physics-chemistry classes. The ideal candidate will have a scientific background and excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities include managing laboratory materials, purchasing supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This is a temporary contract of 2 months.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or equivalent in a scientific field.
  • Scientific training in physics and chemistry or significant experience in the field.
  • Good command of English (oral and written).
  • Rigor and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with precision and method within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare practical work for high school physics-chemistry teachers.
  • Clean and manage laboratory materials.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the Practical Work (TP) of the high school students for the physics-chemistry teachers: prepare the necessary products, the cart with the material and install the material and products on the students' and/or the teacher's benches.
  • After the TP: put the material used by the students and/or the teacher on the cart, clean the material and put it away in the lab, treat the chemicals (recovery in the waste bins or conservation).
  • Manage materials and products: inventory broken or defective materials, outdated products or insufficient quantities, make minor repairs, update the list of materials and products available in the laboratory.
  • Purchase equipment and products: request quotes from local suppliers, purchase commonly used products from the store, check equipment and products upon receipt of the order.
  • Request intervention from the maintenance and IT department when necessary.
  • Manage waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations in the laboratory.

Commitment
