Job summary

NOVEXX PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Support Specialist/Attendant for a 1-year renewable contract at our West-area R&D facility.

You will help run daily lab operations, manage waste streams, and support inventory, procurement, and shipments to ensure safe, compliant lab activities. The role requires a Diploma in Science/Chemical Operations or equivalent, some lab experience, and a keen eye for detail and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Science/Chemical Operations or equivalent experience.
• 1 year experience in chemical/pharmaceutical/R&D lab is preferred.
• Comfortable with physical lab duties and chemical waste handling.
• Good team player with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory support and waste management to ensure safe operations.
• Inventory, procurement support, and stock checks for lab reagents and supplies.
• Receive deliveries, source quotations for lab instruments and PMs.
• Coordinate shipments and ensure proper storage and housekeeping in the lab.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Laboratory Support Specialist to join our fast-paced R&D facility in the West. You will play a vital role in ensuring daily laboratory operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Support & Waste Management:

• Safely dispose of non-halogenated, halogenated, acid, base, and glass waste.
• Manage waste canisters and solvent traps, and change vapor traps on GCs.
• Escort and receive Helium gas cylinder deliveries.

Inventory & Procurement Support:

• Receive deliveries for purchased reagents, consumables, and general lab supplies.
• Manage reagent inventory, perform routine stock checks, and notify team leads for reordering.
• Assist in sourcing quotations for new lab instruments and preventative maintenance (PMs).
• Keep storage cabinets organized and well-maintained.

Shipment & Coordination:

• Act as the key contact person for receiving and arranging analytical sample shipments (e.g., Biocair).

Safety & Housekeeping:

• Adhere strictly to Site and R&D safety procedures when conducting all lab support tasks.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe laboratory environments at all times.

Requirements

• Diploma in Science/Chemical Operations (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience working in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or R&D laboratory environment is an advantage. 1Year experience is preferred .
• Comfortable with physical laboratory duties and handling chemical waste according to safety protocols.
• Good team player with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
