Overview

Salary: Basic from $4,000 to $4,500 + Variable Bonus

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm. Alternate Saturdays, 8:30am – 12:30pm.

Location: Pioneer (Company transport @ Boon Lay MRT)

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and perform precious metal extraction and laboratory elemental analysis (ICP-OES), ensuring optimal product quality and process efficiency.
  • Supervise, train, and lead chemists to maintain high laboratory and production performance standards.
  • Manage laboratory operations, including testing of raw, in-process, and finished materials; maintaining equipment, consumables, and chemical inventory; and preparing reports and forecasts.
  • Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), NEA, and ISO standards, including conducting risk assessments, audits, and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Prepare and manage operational documentation, ISO procedures, departmental P&L, and audit reports.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and certification bodies for licences, permits, and audit requirements.
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and CERT activities, promoting a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in a chemical, refinery, or precious metal recovery plant environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ICP-OES and laboratory analytical procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, NEA compliance, and ISO management systems.
  • Proven experience in team supervision, training, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in report writing, audit preparation, and documentation control.
