Job description

[What the role is]

As a member of our Biology Division team, you will play a critical role in conducting serological testing, screening and DNA profiling on evidence submitted by law enforcement agencies, participate in lab improvement/research projects through digital solutions and assist in developing/validating new technologies/methods.

[What you will be working on]

• Examination for biological fluids using chemical and serological tests
• Conduct DNA analysis of crime samples
• Assist in lab improvement/research projects through digital solutions
• Assist scientists in developing/validating new technologies/methods
• Supporting laboratory administrative duties such as equipment maintenance, inventory management, procurement of consumables, and preparation of laboratory reagents/supplies
• Adhering to stringent quality control and quality assurance protocols, and assisting in laboratory quality assurance duties such as checking for expiry dates, conduct of basic performance checking tests

[What we are looking for]

• Background in Biology/Biomedical Science/Biotechnology (or equivalent)
• Successfully completed supervised laboratory research project in biochemistry/ molecular biology area
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.
• Collaborative team player with the capability to work independently, showcasing a proactive approach.
• Proficient in digital and data analytic skill will be an advantage (e.g. Power Automate and Power Apps, SQL, Python, Tableau).
