• Collect and handle biohazardous and liquid waste safely; operate autoclave equipment as required.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and dry laboratory glassware and equipment according to established protocols.
• Prepare and sterilize culture media and laboratory items.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of laboratory areas.
• Collect and distribute specimens and consumables.
• Support laboratory staff in daily preparations and routine lab operations.
• Follow all laboratory safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and handle biohazardous and liquid waste safely; operate autoclave equipment as required.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and dry laboratory glassware and equipment according to established protocols.
• Prepare and sterilize culture media and laboratory items (e.g., test tubes, bottles, cotton swabs, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of laboratory areas, sonicators, and water baths.
• Collect and distribute specimens, consumables, lab coats, and other materials between divisions and laundry.
• Support laboratory staff in daily preparations and routine lab operations.
• Follow all laboratory safety procedures and workplace etiquette in line with NUHS Core Values.

Requirements

• Minimum possess Nitec in a science-related field OR prior experience in a laboratory/healthcare environment.
• Responsible, organized, and able to follow safety protocols strictly.
• Team player with good communication and time management skills.
