Hours of Deployment
- Mon – Fri: 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
- Not required on Saturdays, Sundays & gazetted public holidays
Key Responsibilities
Science Laboratory Operations
- Manage and maintain two Science laboratories
- Ensure tools, equipment, and consumables are stocked, functional, and safely stored
- Label, organise and maintain apparatus per safety guidelines
- Conduct regular stocktake and ensure laboratory cleanliness
Lesson & Experiment Support
- Prepare, set up and clear experimental materials for lessons and demonstrations
- Assist teachers during practical sessions (materials handling & safety management)
- Support Science/STEM activities across different levels
Hydroponics & Plant Systems Support
- Assist with germination, transplanting and maintenance of plants
- Monitor plant growth, health and aquaponic/hydroponic systems
- Conduct plant care activities for soil-based planters
- Assist in harvesting, packing and distribution of vegetables and fruits
STEM & School Programme Support
- Support Science Week, STEM Day, Applied Learning Programmes (ALP), and learning journeys
- Assist in maintaining tidiness and stock for Makerspace resources
Other Duties
- Perform operational and lab-support duties as assigned by school management
Minimum Skills & Experience
Experience
- Prior experience working in a school laboratory environment
Skills & Competencies
- Organised, meticulous and able to multi-task
- Proficient in MS Office (preferred)
- Interest in plant care and outdoor learning
- Basic understanding of plant growth and maintenance
