FUJIFILM Electronic Materials (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst for the QC laboratory to ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance while supporting production activities.
The role focuses on precise chemical analysis, safety and quality protocols, and participation in data entry and instrument maintenance. The ideal candidate holds a chemistry-related diploma with 1–2 years in a chemical/analytical lab, familiarity with LIMS, and basic knowledge of ISO standards.
The Laboratory Analyst in the QC laboratory is required to work in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards, plays a multifaceted role that encompasses precise chemical analysis, adherence to quality/safety management systems, and active participation in production-related activities. This position is designed to contribute to the laboratory's commitment to ISO/IEC 17025 standards while also supporting production processes to meet organizational objectives.
Shall strictly follow the safety and quality protocols within the laboratory.
Shall strictly follow the Cleanroom Protocol implemented within the Laboratory.
Shall adhere to the implemented 5S practices.
Shall perform analysis on routine/non-routine samples from Analytical Service business as well as support manufacturing plant products including IQC, IPQC & FQC samples, evaluation samples, and onsite plant UPW monitoring.
Shall understand the usage of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and key in results into the system once the result is confirmed to be accurate.
Shall assist in updating SPC (Statical Process Control Charts) and able to identify abnormality and inform Supervisor.
Shall prepare standards and perform calibrations for instruments in accordance with official procedures & update ISO records accordingly.
Shall perform routine maintenance for instruments and assist in breakdown maintenance and troubleshoot of instruments as and when necessary.
Shall assist in fine tuning and improving the performance of instruments.
Shall perform inventory checks on instrument parts / consumables / retained samples & chemicals.
Shall assist in analysis for Laboratory’s analytical developmental work such as method validation, correlation studies & GR&R.
Shall participate in instrument / product quality investigations using suitable root cause analysis tools (5S, Fishbone diagrams etc.)
Shall assist in updating and/or implementing new Work Instructions or SOPs.
Shall ensure his/her own records are updated in a timely manner and retained in accordance with the ISO Standards applied to the company.
Shall assist in the preparation of documents and other related items for internal, ISO related and customer audits.
Shall assist in preparing training materials and where applicable, assist in training new staff.
Shall perform other duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor and/or the QC Manager.
Diploma or higher in chemistry and relevant discipline
1-2 years of relevant experience in chemical/analytical laboratory. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Possessing knowledge and experience in handling ICP-MS/OES, GC, TOC, IC, Titrators is an added advantage
Having basic knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 17025 Standards would be an added advantage.
Possessing good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
Has a basic understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control)
Must Able to differentiate colors for work purposes
Will be required to work in the vicinity of chemicals and wear various PPE like chemical-clothing, gowns and respiratory masks.
Will be required to work in Cleanroom condition most of the time.
Will be required to work shift
Will be required to work overtime as and when required by the department
