Job summary

Veolia Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Technician to carry out sampling, laboratory testing and analytical work, supporting feasibility studies on waste management. You will conduct sampling of incoming waste, perform analyses per SOPs, enter results into LIMS or spreadsheets, calibrate equipment, maintain the lab, and uphold Veolia's safety and ethics standards.

The role is based at the main office in Singapore and requires willingness to work in Tuas South vicinity with company transport

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemistry/ Chemical Process Technology or O level in science.
• Able to read and communicate in English.
• No colour blindness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling of incoming waste.
• Perform laboratory analysis testing of Pre-Acceptance, Post-Acceptance, process, monitoring and ad hoc samples.
• Carry sample analysis according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform data entry in LIMS or spreadsheets for results reporting purposes.
• Carry out calibration and maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
• Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Follow the existing system and documentation as per the procedures.
• Update the relevant records.
• Work harmoniously with colleagues in the same department and other department(s).
• Ensure a safe working environment in the lab.
• Any other task as assigned by management.
