Lab Senior Engineer (Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing) – Contract till March 2026

Location: North (Walking distance from MRT, 5-min shuttle bus available)
Work Arrangement: Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Overtime: Required when requested

Contract Duration: Until end March 2026
Salary Range: SGD $5,000 – $7,000

About the Role

This position supports a biologics manufacturing laboratory focused on small-scale process development and manufacturing sciences. The Lab Senior Engineer will lead small-scale experiments, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives for biologics and rare-disease related products.

Key Requirements

• Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing experience preferred
• Upstream experience in small-scale bioreactors preferred

Primary Objectives

• Lead and execute small-scale laboratory experiments and investigations
• Support manufacturing operations with process studies and improvement projects
• Serve as SME for small-scale troubleshooting and scale-down model development
• Drive evaluation and implementation of process improvements and new technologies

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for complex lab experiments aligned with guidelines and project needs
• Design, plan, and execute small-scale experiments within timelines
• Coordinate resources and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Lead troubleshooting during experimental setup and execution
• Support and mentor junior engineers
• Assist with analytical testing coordination for experiments
• Create and review lab documentation: procedures, forms, protocols, and reports
• Analyse, summarise, and approve laboratory results
• Perform lab equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Lead 5S/6S and housekeeping activities
• Ensure materials and consumables are adequately stocked
• Support global lab initiatives and participate in global alignment discussions
• Assist with EHS audits and ensure timely closure of CAPAs
• Uphold all EHS and Code of Conduct requirements
• Perform other tasks as assigned
