Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of laboratory management experience preferred in academia or industry.
• Strong commitment to safety and risk awareness.
• Good ownership, drive, initiative and multitasking ability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team focus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lab operations comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain fiscal and operational discipline in daily lab activities.
• Keep the lab clean and well-organized to high standards.
• Streamline processes to boost productivity and avoid excess inventory.
• Lead routine safety audits and train lab users on safety procedures.
• Relay safety information to users and ensure ground adherence.
• Assist new users with NEWRI purchasing and safety documentation.
• Track spending and generate reports for senior management.
• Maintain the lab instrument usage database in CEBS.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors/contractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Oversee preventive maintenance of lab equipment.
• Collaborate with Safety department to ensure a safe work environment.
• Be the go-to person for all matters related to the laboratory premises.
