Position Details

• Position: Lab Officer
• Location: Buona Vista
• Working hours: Monday to Friday (9am - 6pm) *might have shift work arrangement
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4,200 + Variable Bonus + Staff Benefits
• Duration: Permanent
• Industry: Laboratory/R&D/Science

Main Responsibilities

• Receive biological samples from customers for NGS Sequencing
• Prepare sequencing libraries, perform quality assessment and perform sequencing runs
• Analyze sequencing data and report results to customers in a timely manner
• Assist in ensuring proper documentation of all processes including the monthly report of sequencing services conducted
• Assist in troubleshooting for customers
• Interact with bioinformaticians and evaluate bioinformatics output
• Maintain lab equipment & documentation in accordance with quality requirements of ISO and CAP accreditation standards
• Other ad-hoc projects as required by the superiors

Requirements

• Bilingual in both English and Mandarin to converse with Mandarin speaking clients
• Degree/Diploma in Genetics, Biology or related life sciences major
• Minimum 1 year of lab work experience
• Experience in DNA/RNA extraction is preferred
• Possess biological lab techniques and library preparation experience
